Season One of 'The Last Page' consists of ten episodes with each new program releasing two weeks apart.
Episode One: The Last Page...from the Garden of God [Part One]
The Garden of Eden is the birthplace of mankind. On this picturesque piece of land, God formed Adam from the dust and breathed life into his human frame. The Bible describes this lush paradise as filled with abundant fruit trees and all manner of animal life. Still, the greatest aspect of the garden was in the fellowship that Adam and Eve shared with their Creator. It was a relationship of joy and satisfaction, but sin ruined it. Cast out of the garden, God placed Cherubim to guard the entrance lest any man try to return. In the years that followed, the location of the garden was lost. The great flood of Noah washed over the world. Is there anything left? Does the Garden of Eden still exist on earth today? These questions are considered in episode one.
Episode Two: The Last Page...from the Garden of God [Part Two]
The Lord has sovereignly opened the way of redemption through the work of His Son. In Christ, sinners can find forgiveness and be reconciled to God. The fellowship that was lost in the Garden of Eden is restored by grace through faith in Jesus. At the end of time, the Lord will remake this world and restore what has been lost. Does this mean that the Garden of Eden has passed away for all time? Are there still lessons that we are to learn from its history? And what have theologians posited concerning its location and importance throughout church history. Join us in episode two for these answers and more.
Episode Three: The Last Page...from the Mountain of Smoke and Fire
The towering peak of Mt. Sinai looms large in the pages of scripture. It was upon this mountain that the Lord spoke in a burning bush to Moses. Later, smoke and fire covered the peak as God sent down the Ten Commandments to the tribes of Israel. In a different age, the prophet Elijah would visit the site and have his own unique encounter with the Lord. With such a monumental place in Biblical history, it is strange to think that no one is entirely certain concerning its location. From Saudi Arabia to southern Israel to Egypt's peninsula, many sites have been proposed. Join us as we look through the evidence and take our own search for the Mountain of Sinai.
Episode Four: The Last Page...from the Doomed Cities of the Plain
The very names of these cities bring about images of a people so wicked that fire and brimstone consumed them. Sodom and Gomorrah and the other cities of the plains flourished in the time of Abraham before being wiped out in a single night. What became of their ruins? What lessons are we to learn from their unique fall? The Dead Sea is today a tourist spot, but somewhere close to the feet of visitors rests a buried reminder of God's judgment on sin and a warning to take seriously His call to repentance. Far from a fairy tale, we take a look at these real cities and the evidence they left behind.
Episode Five: The Last Page...from the Anonymous Author of Scripture
Moses penned the first five books of the Bible. David is the author of many psalms. The apostle Paul is responsible for most of the words of the New Testament. But when it comes to the book of Hebrews, there are only questions. Despite many attempts to draw out the author's name, none have done so conclusively. Now in the end, it does not pose any great theological issue, for all of scripture is nothing less than the very word of God. The Lord inspired many authors over many centuries to deliver His word to us. Still, it is an interesting subject to discuss. What New Testament servant did God use to pen the letter to the Hebrews? Join us as we look at the possibilities and see if we can aid any further in identifying the author.
